PURPOSE: Adopt changes to the County’s Purchasing Code 3.04 to allow for quicker processing of procurement transactions and to comply with changes to state code.
BACKGROUND: In over ten years there have been only minimal changes to the County’s Purchasing Code 3.04 in spite of inflationary pressures, changes to state code and changes to business processes. This code change is to address those issues and will allow for the County to operate faster, more efficiently and remove outdated language from the section of code.
