PURPOSE: Set public hearing time and date to hear and act upon a proposed ordinance correcting inadvertent errors in Title 13 Snohomish County Code (SCC), amending SCC 13.110.010.
BACKGROUND: On July 21, 2021, the Snohomish County Council adopted Ordinance No. 21-032 relating to the requirements for utilities in county right-of-way and amending chapters 2.02, 13.10, 13.50, 13.60, 13.80 and 13.110 SCC. After codification of Ordinance No. 21-032, the county identified inadvertent errors in chapter 13.110 SCC consisting of the omission of subsections (5) through (8) of SCC 13.110.010. These omissions were not intentional and occurred during preparation of Ordinance No. 21-032 but were not reflected in strikeout format. This proposed ordinance will correct the inadvertent errors and restore subsections (5) through (8) as they had been previously codified before adoption of Ordinance No. 21-032, and make a minor housekeeping amendment to add a period to the end of subsection (8).
