PURPOSE: Reappoint Demi Chatters to the Snohomish County Human Rights Commission to represent the County Council District 2 seat.
BACKGROUND: Executive Dave Somers recommends the reappointment of Demi Chatters to the Snohomish County Human Rights Commission (SCHRC) to serve as the representative for District 2. Per SCC 2.700.040, the SCHRC is comprised of nine members. Of the nine members on the Commission, one represents the County Executive, one shall represent the law enforcement community after consultation with the County Sheriff, and the other seven shall represent the five County Council Districts following consultation with each County Councilmember, and there are two at-large members. The terms of commissioners is three years, subject to a limit of two consecutive three-year terms. This will be Demi’s second term of appointment.
