PURPOSE: To approve the Interagency MOU for license plate scanning between Washington State Patrol and Snohomish County
BACKGROUND: The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office utilizes ALPR systems to assist in locating vehicles associated with crimes and missing and endangered persons. The information required to locate these vehicles comes from WACIC. This MOU describes and defines the data that can be utilized and the permissible uses of that data. This MOU supersedes and replaces the MOU executed on 08/09/23 (Contract K19142 attached for reference).
