PURPOSE: Reappoint Karl Niemela to the Snohomish County Planning Commission, meeting the criteria under SCC 2.08.080, to serve as a representative of District 5, until July 1, 2030.
BACKGROUND: Mr. Niemela is a resident of Council District 5, and this will be his first full-term position on the Planning Commission. The term would expire on July 1, 2030. Councilmember Low is nominating Karl Niemela for reappointment in this position. Mr. Niemela was previously appointed to the Planning Commission via Motion 23-273. Mr. Niemela is a business owner and serves on several volunteer boards.
