body
DEPARTMENT: Human Services

ORIGINATOR: Debbi Trosvig

EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION: Approve

PURPOSE: Approve and Authorize the County Executive to Execute the Washington State Department of Commerce Shelter Grant Program Contract Amendment A

BACKGROUND: On July 30, 2020, the County submitted a grant application for new shelter funding to the Washington State Department of Commerce and received a contract in the amount of $4,399,548 for the period 8/1/2020 through 6/30/2023. Submission of a collaborative application with the cities of Edmonds, Everett, Lake Stevens, Lynnwood and Marysville was required to receive the maximum amount available for each Jurisdiction, including unincorporated Snohomish County. The number of overall beds were adjusted through the Motel Program to maximize the funding available due to unavoidable delays for all projects to start during the pandemic. The program budgets have also been revised to reflect these changes but there is no change to the total grant funding. The original contract was approved via Amended Motion 20-371...
