PURPOSE: To institute a county-wide hiring freeze
BACKGROUND: In order to address budgetary shortfalls, a temporary hiring freeze is proposed. Commissioned positions within the Deputy Sheriff’s Association bargaining unit and limited commissioned positions within the Corrections Guild bargaining unit are exempted from the hiring freeze.
