ITEM TITLE:

Title

Ordinance 23-071, approving the acceptance of a statutory warranty deed and establishing 87th Ave SE as a new county road

body

DEPARTMENT:  Public Works

ORIGINATOR:  Maria Acuario

EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION:  Ken Klein 6/29/23

PURPOSE: Council approval of an Ordinance to grant establishment of a new county road right-of-way.

BACKGROUND: On April 16, 2021, Pacific Ridge - DRH LLC applied to Planning and Development Services (PDS) for a multi-use development known as Cathcart Crossing. The application required approval of a Planned Community Business Preliminary Site Plan, a Binding Site Plan, and an Urban Residential Development Standards (URDS) Administrative Site Plan for two commercial lots for a restaurant and a mini-storage space and one residential tract for 266 townhomes.  As a condition of approval for Cathcart Crossing, the Department of Public Works and PDS require Pacific Ridge to construct two new public roads for onsite access to the development.  The proposed road establishment is in Council District 4.  See Engineer’s Report for additional facts, background, and conditions.
