PURPOSE: To approve Snohomish County’s participation in a Regional Apprenticeship Pathways Project and authorize the Executive to sign an interlocal agreement with the Office of the Superintendent for Public Instruction to oversee the use of ARPA funds at the Marysville School District.
BACKGROUND: Snohomish County Council created the Office of Recovery and Resilience (ORR) through the budget to aid in the distribution of the ARPA funds. ORR has recommended $150,000 for the Regional Apprenticeship Pathways (RAP) program. The Marysville School District is authorized by the regulatory apprenticeship council to operate the RAP program to provide Snohomish County high school students with education and training in building and construction trades.
