PURPOSE: AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY EXECUTIVE TO SIGN AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE 2023 COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WASHINGTON AND THE WASHINGTON STATE COUNCIL OF COUNTY AND CITY EMPLOYEES AFSCME, AFL-CIO, LOCAL 1811-PA (PROSECUTOR’S CRIMINAL AND FAMILY SUPPORT DPA UNIT)
BACKGROUND: This Contract Amendment is intended to provide great leave accruals in an effort to expand recruitment and retention within the bargaining unit. This Amendment will broaden the vacation leave accruals based on continuous service in a professional law setting in the public sector. This amendment also expands the total active time of service within the County as it applies to monthly vacation accruals for former employees choosing to come back to the County.
