EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION: Approve
PURPOSE: Approval of the 2021 collective bargaining agreement between Snohomish County and the Washington State Council of County and City Employees, AFSCME, AFL-CIO, Local 1811-HS.
BACKGROUND: This is a one (1) year agreement with the Washington State Council of County and City Employees, AFSCME, AFL-CIO, Local 1811-HS effective January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021. The collective bargaining agreement provides for a 1.0% Cost of Living Adjustment effective April 1, 2021. . In addition, the agreement includes some minor language housekeeping and clarification regarding Washington State Paid Family Medical Leave. The agreement further provides for a targeted timeline for future negotiations. This agreement supersedes the agreement that expired December 31, 2020 and covers approximately 20 employees.
