PURPOSE: To fill a vacant position within the Airport Commission.

 

BACKGROUND: .

Q                     The Airport Commission was established by Ordinance 17-003 on March 29, 2017.

Q                     The Airport Commission acts as an advisory board to the Executive.

Q                     The Airport Commission is composed of thirteen (13) members consisting of one person from each council district, three persons from the airport tenant community, three persons from the business community, and two persons from the county at large.

Q                     As a Boeing employee, Airport Commission member Mike Catalano represented Airport Tenants.

Q                     Due to a shift in areas of responsibility at Boeing, Mr. Catalano has resigned from the Commission.

Q                     Boeing employee Mr. Kurtis Lewko has taken on Mr. Catalano’s role at Boeing as the Everett Deliver Center Superintendent Delivery Operations Services and is recommended to fill the vacant position for the balance of the term set to expire January 31, 2022.
