PURPOSE: Approval of Agreement SWMCC06-23 will allow Snohomish County Public Works to utilize Rhithron Associates to provide analysis of Benthic Macroinvertebrate Samples.
BACKGROUND: In an effort to quantify the health of streams, Snohomish County Surface Water Management will continue to implement a benthic macroinvertebrate monitoring program. The County has determined a need for the specialized skills of a contractor to complete the benthic macroinvertebrate analysis and upload data collected into a regional database. Rhithron Associates, Inc. responded to RFP-23-007RB and was selected through established Federal, State and County policies and practices. A professional services agreement with Rhithron Associates, Inc. will allow the continuation of benthic macroinvertebrate sample analysis and provide the County with a Benthic Index of Biologic Integrity (BIBI) score for each site visited during the sampling season.
