PURPOSE: Transfer budget authority within General Fund
BACKGROUND: The Auditor’s Office has a need for additional budget authority for 2022. The Auditor’s Office had unanticipated costs for elections due to an increase in paper costs; a hand recount; and phone bank operations. The motion transfers $120,000 between programs within the Auditor’s general fund and transfers $200,000 from Nondepartmental general fund to the Auditor’s Election Services program.
