Title
Motion 21-115, authorizing the County Executive to sign Public Works Assistance Fund Loan Agreement No. 06-2019 with the City of Bothell for its Camden Crest Sewer Lift Station #4 Replacement Project
body
DEPARTMENT: Public Works

ORIGINATOR: Lori White

EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION: Approve

PURPOSE: Approval and execution will authorize Snohomish County Public Works to loan the City of Bothell $75,000 from the Public Works Assistance Fund for the Camden Crest Sewer Lift Station #4 Replacement project.

BACKGROUND: The Snohomish County Public Works Assistance Fund (PWAF) was created by Ord. 16-055, July 20, 2016, to provide for loans to the county and other local governments to assist in funding public works projects located wholly or partially within the county. Motion 16-377, was approved by the County Council on September 21, 2016, and included a project prioritization process, a competitive application process and a schedule of terms, conditions and interest rates that are necessary for funding public works projects. The Motion established that the resources collected in the PWAF are sufficient to support one or more loans to local governments. The City of Bothell submitted an application for the Camden Crest Sewer Lift Station #4 Replacement project in the amount of $75,000. The Countywide Scoring Committee reviewed and scored the application finding the Project met the Program's eligibility criteria and agreed with the Project moving forward. The City of Bothell has completed project design and plans to start construction in March of 2021.
