PURPOSE: Council approval and Executive signature on Amendment 1 to the Agreement for Security Services with Universal Protection Service d/b/a Allied Universal Security Services

BACKGROUND: Snohomish County, through the Sheriff’s Office, utilizes private security personnel to provide security services on County property.  Snohomish County went out to bid for these services in 2022.  The successful bidder to RFP 022-21 BC was Universal Protection Service d/b/a Allied Universal Security Services; the Purchasing bid award was approved by Council Motion 22-030. This Amendment 1 extends the contract term for 2 years through February 13, 2026 and revises Schedule A - Cost as allowed by Section 6 of the agreement.
