EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION: Approved by Neeapaporn Boungjaktha 6/15/23

PURPOSE: To fill a vacant position within the Airport Commission.

* The Airport Commission was established by Ordinance 17-003 on March 29, 2017.
* The Airport Commission acts as an advisory board to the Executive.
* The Airport Commission is composed of thirteen (13) members consisting of one person from each council district, three persons from the airport tenant community, three persons from the business community, and two persons from the county at large.
* Ms. Alicia Crank had represented the business community on the Airport Commission.
* Ms. Crank has resigned and Jason Raaum has applied to represent the business community on the Commission.
* Mr. Raaum has been in the aerospace industry for over 25 years and is currently the Director for Business Development & Strategy at Collins Aerospace. Mr. Raaum has been actively involved in the community. He was the head roadie coordinator for the Kamiak Showband, a member of the Washington Aerospace Scholars Association and Board Member for the Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance (PNAA).
* It is recommended that Mr. Raaum fill the vacant Business Community Representative position for the balance of the term which is set to expire January 31, 2026.
