PURPOSE: Provide County Council a quarterly report of executed consolidated contract amendments with Washington State Department of Health. Amended Ordinance 24-114, approved on January 29, 2025, provided authority for County Executive, or designee, to execute all subsequent amendments to the consolidated contract. The ordinance requests the Health Department submit a quarterly report for all executed amendments.
BACKGROUND: The Consolidated Contract funding allows the Health Department to continue providing core public health services. The Health Department receives the majority of its grant funding through a consolidated contract with the Washington State Department of Health. This funding is used for many different public health services including maternal and child health block grant, recreational shellfish activities, tuberculosis control, and many more. The Health Department anticipates future amendments to the consolidated contract to add new programmatic work and further adjust the activities and deliverables for existing programmatic work.
