PURPOSE: To increase the number of FTEs authorized in 2024, in the Prosecuting Attorney’s Fund 130, by 1.0 FTE.
BACKGROUND: The Washington Traffic and Safety Commission has awarded the County a grant of $217,838, to establish a Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutor Program in the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. The grant, which begins December 1, 2024, and ends September 30, 2025, provides funding for one full-time deputy prosecuting attorney, as well as funds for travel, training, goods, and services. It is mutually anticipated that the grant will be continued for another year starting October 1, 2025.
