PURPOSE: Authorize the County Executive to execute the 2022 HOME Funding Approval/Agreement.
BACKGROUND: The Human Services Department requests approval and execution by the County Executive of the attached Funding Approval/Agreement with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for 2022 HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) Program funds in the amount of $2,232,921. The 2022 program year runs from July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023.
Snohomish County is the representative member of the Snohomish County Urban County Consortium (Consortium) for purpose of application, receipt, and administration of federal entitlement grant funds under the HOME Program.
Motion 22-162 approved the 2022 Annual Action Plan which included the 2022 HOME funds.
Motion 21-362 approved the 2022 Human Services Department Grant Work Plan. The HOME grant is included in the 2022 Grant Work Plan; however, the amount of the contract exceeds the amount included in the Grant Work Plan by $206,551, and now requires Council approval.
