PURPOSE: To recommend the appointment of Kristina Gizinski to the Snohomish County Council on Aging.
BACKGROUND: The Snohomish County Council on Aging (COA) exists to advise, assist, and advocate for older persons and those adults with disabilities in Snohomish County by keeping the County Executive and other elected officials apprised of the concerns and needs of the older populations. Additionally, COA assists and helps guide the work of the Long-Term Care & Aging (LTCA) Unit in fulfilling its stated missions, supports ongoing evaluation of program services, and engages in policy involved in the implementation of the Snohomish County Area Plan on Aging.
Kristina Gizinski has spent her 26-year career supporting seniors and people with developmental disabilities. She has served her community as a family services caseworker, resident manager, and in several managerial roles.
Ms. Gizinski does not serve on any other County boards or commissions.
