PURPOSE: To acquire donated property adjacent to Meadowdale Park.
BACKGROUND: In September 2025, John Heldridge and Margaret Davidson approached Snohomish County (the “County”) regarding their desire to donate undeveloped land consisting of an approximate 2.35 acres with an appraised value of $333,000, located in the Meadowdale Park area (the “Property”) to Snohomish County. The Property has some wetland areas to provide habitat, and possible passive recreation opportunities. The Property is adjacent to the south border of Meadowdale Park which is owned by Snohomish County under the custodianship of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation Division, and would become part of the park. The County acceptance of the donation will retain the subject site to provide habitat and other possible passive recreational opportunities.
