PURPOSE: Approve Emergency Use License Agreement between Snohomish County and Granite Falls School District #332. The Snohomish County Council passed Ordinance No. 23-066 approving form agreements for emergency use facility license between Snohomish County and numerous public entities for use of their sites during emergency events on August 9, 2023.
BACKGROUND: Snohomish County, through its Health Department, would like to build partnerships to ensure numerous sites would be available on demand in the event of an emergency. During a disaster or emergency event, Snohomish County would utilize Granite Falls School District #332, facility sites to provide emergency shelter and mass clinic services to individuals and families who are victims or otherwise affected by disaster or an emergency event. Emergency preparedness and response planning are core public health services that the Snohomish County Health Department performs.
