EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION:  N/A

 

PURPOSE: Appoint Trae Tingelstad to the Snohomish County Performance Audit Committee as the District 1 member.

 

BACKGROUND: Snohomish County Code 2.700 pertains to the Office of County Performance Auditor. SCC 2.700.040 established the Performance Audit Committee which is responsible for advising the performance auditor on the development of the annual audit plan; reviewing and helping improve the performance auditors process; reviewing and providing input on the final audit report. This committee is comprised of eight members: The Chairperson of the County Council, or their councilmember designee; two (2) members appointed by the Executive; and (5) members appointed by the County Council, one for each Council District. Unlike most boards and commissions, the five members representing Council Districts are nominated by the relevant Councilmember and confirmed by the entire Council by motion. Terms are for three years, and members are limited to serving two consecutive terms.
