PURPOSE: To fill the positions on the Citizens’ Commission on Salaries of Elected Officials that will convene in 2026.

 

BACKGROUND: The Citizens’ Commission on Salaries of Elected Officials is comprised of ten members: one from each Council District, drawn by lot from the pool of registered voters; one at-large, drawn by lot from pool of registered voters: four nominated by the Executive representing (a) business, (b) legal, (c) organized labor, and (d) professional personnel management.  Commissioners may serve two 2-year terms. This would be David Shaefer’s first appointment to the Citizens’ Commission on Salaries of Elected Officials.
