PURPOSE: Complete the purchase of an easement for future trail purposes with Conservation Futures funding
BACKGROUND: May 15, 2020: Snohomish County advertised the opportunity for project sponsors to submit applications for Conservation Futures Property Tax Funds and received 9 (Nine) applications from cities, non-profits, and Snohomish County itself by the application due date. June 25, 2020: The Conservation Futures Program Advisory Board listened to the presentations, reviewed the project proposals and voted to recommend fully fund 5 (Five) projects, including $300,000.00 for Regional Trail Inholdings August 5, 2020: Snohomish County Council Motion 20-249 authorized funding as recommended by the Conservation Futures Program Advisory Board.
