PURPOSE: Addition of UPS backup power system to CRAC unit replacement project.
BACKGROUND: In January 2025 Facilities and Fleet contracted with the Washington State DES Energy Program to initiate the investigation phase of the computer room air conditioner replacements for the Administration East server room. In June 2025 Facilities and Fleet asked to revise the project to include the replacement of the Uninterrupted Power Source (UPS) which also serves the server room. The attached agreement amends the original agreement to include the additional engineering required for this change. This cost will be rolled into the guaranteed maximum construction cost for the project (gmax) and only paid separately if we do not move forward with the project construction.
