PURPOSE: To approve Professional Services Agreement with Double Z Media LLC for Media Buying for the Evergreen State Fair Park
BACKGROUND: The Evergreen State Fair Park has been a prominent year-round event facility in Snohomish County since 1949. The 193-acre park, located near Monroe, WA, attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors each year and is the proud host of the Evergreen State Fair every August. The Evergreen State Fair Park has a variety of facilities that can accommodate year-round events like trade shows, swap meets, animal shows, training seminars, festivals and car shows. The Equestrian Center is comprised of indoor and outdoor arenas that host local, regional and national horse shows. The Evergreen Speedway entertains crowds with a variety of events like NASCAR races, Drift, Autocross, and other special events. The stadium can accommodate up to 6,000 spectators in the covered grandstands and uncovered modular seating. Approximately 300,000 people attend the Evergreen State Fair annually. The Fair runs 11 days each year, ending on Labor Day, and is the largest county fair in the state. The fair features auto racing, concerts, rodeo, exhibits, fair food, animals, carnival, and a wide variety of attractions. This agreement with Double Z Media allows the County to optimize, negotiate and buy advertising necessary for the events at the Evergreen State Fair Park. Working with Double Z Media will assist us in growing our media relationships and optimizing our marketing spend through choosing the most effective channels, negotiating pricing and gaining earned media opportunities.
