PURPOSE: The legislature enacted RCW 84.34 to maintain, preserve, conserve and protect lands for the social well being of the state and its citizens and has further declared, “that assessment practices must be so designed as to permit the continued availability of open space lands for these purposes.”
BACKGROUND: Owner seeks to classify 6 parcels to Open Space General for total of 5.48 acres out of 6.48, reserving 1 acre for existing homesite. Parcels 00499000000100 & 00499000000800 are contiguous w/total acreage of 2.39. 1 acre will need to be reserved for home site. Properties are located at 28407 Pioneer Hwy., Stanwood. Parcels 32041800301700 and 01800 and 00609300002700 are located east and north of first 2 parcels. Parcel 32041900200400 is east and south of first 2 parcels. Map attached.
