BACKGROUND: The Town of Darrington has contracted with Snohomish County for law enforcement services since 1999.  The current interlocal agreement expires on December 31, 2023.  The town wishes to renew the agreement for a term of three years, 2024-2027.  The contract costs include allocated overhead and administrative/risk management costs to reflect full cost recovery.  The contract reflects a regional model wherein the costs to patrol an area beat that encompasses both incorporated and unincorporated land are shared between the Town and the County.
