PURPOSE: To provide the Stanwood Camano School District with one full-time deputy sheriff to provide school resource officer services at Stanwood High School
BACKGROUND: The Sheriff’s Office has provided SRO services to the Stanwood Camano School District since 1999. The agreement will allow the district to continue its contract with the Sheriff’s Office to provide this service. This is a one-year agreement for the 2022-2023 school year. The district pays for 180 days of service and the assigned deputy sheriff is reassigned to other duties in the Sheriff’s Office during the summer months when school is not in session.
