PURPOSE: Motion confirming the re-appointment Marine Resources Advisory Committee Member to serve their second 3-year term. The Snohomish County citizen recommended for appointment is Mr. Allan Hicks representing Council District #3.
BACKGROUND: The Snohomish County Marine Resources Advisory Committee (MRC) is authorized by Snohomish County Code Chapter 2.800.020 to advise the County Council and Executive on marine issues. The thirteen-member committee represents diverse interests including local governments, tribes, economic, environmental and conservation interests. Mr. Allan Hicks was appointed to the MRC for his first term in January of 2022. Mr. Hicks, who resides in Snohomish County District #3, requests to be reappointed to a second full term under Position #6. This term expires December 31, 2027.
