body

DEPARTMENT:  Sheriff’s Office

ORIGINATOR:  Karla Beers

EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION:  Approve - Ken Klein 6/3/22

PURPOSE: Approval of Amendment 1 to the Agreement for Professional Services with Northwest Helicopters, LLC

BACKGROUND: The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office has operated helicopters as part of its search and rescue and law enforcement responsibilities for many years. The county received a used Bell Helicopter in 2021 that needs approximately $1,000,000 in repairs and upgrades. Northwest Helicopters, LLC, is the only local repair and maintenance company that currently services Bell Helicopters.  This amendment is to allow for additional capacity under the contract for immediate and continued repair and maintenance needs during the contract term.
