PURPOSE: Approval of this Right-Of-Way (ROW) plan will allow the Right of Way acquisition for the 228th Street SE from 35th Ave SE to 39th Ave SE Widening Project.

 

BACKGROUND: 228th Street SE from 35th Ave SE to 39th Ave SE Widening project is being done jointly with the City of Bothell. 228th Street SE from 35th Ave SE to 39th Ave SE is listed as item E.63 in the adopted 2025 Annual Construction Plan.  The project involves the widening of 228th Street SE from 35th Avenue SE to 39th Avenue SE to construct a 3-lane roadway with bike facilities, curb, gutter sidewalk and planter strips along with drainage and water quality treatment facilities.  There are 15 parcels to be acquired for this project, 5 in the County and 10 in the city.  The project is in Council District #4.
