PURPOSE: The Cross Valley Water and Wastewater District has formally submitted its Comprehensive Water and Wastewater Plan (2022) for review pursuant to RCW 57.16.010. Council must act on the plan before August 14, 2023, as provided for in RCW 57.16.010, or the plan will be deemed approved. 

 

BACKGROUND: The Cross Valley Water and Wastewater District has formally submitted its Comprehensive Water and Wastewater Plan (2022) to Snohomish County for review pursuant to RCW 57.16.010. The following major milestones describe the process to date. On March 15, 2023, the District submitted the draft Comprehensive Water and Wastewater System Plan for review. On May 24, 2023, the County Engineer completed an approval letter. On July 18, 2023, submitted to Council Planning Committee Review. Unless an extension is requested by the county or required by the District, the review period under state law will expire August 14, 2023.  County staff review concludes that the Plan is CONSISTENT with the County’s GMA Comprehensive Plan.
