PURPOSE: Snohomish County, acting through its Health Department, needs access to the Washington State Department of Health Opioid Drug Use Data Dashboard which includes access to the Washington Emergency Medical Services Information Systems (WEMSIS).
BACKGROUND: The Washington State Department of Health Opioid and Drug Use Data Dashboard consolidates historically isolated data products into a single data dashboard and provides aggregated overdose and use data at the county, region, and state level. Access to the dashboard provides the Health Department the ability to monitor the impacts of substance, opioid, and stimulant use in our communities and our ability to respond to these impacts. WEMSIS provides the number of opioid related EMS responses, suspected opioid overdoses, and positive Naloxone responses and percent suspected opioid overdoses transported to a medical facility and response time.
