PURPOSE: An ordinance authorizing an increase in the 2027 and 2028 general property tax levy.
BACKGROUND: This ordinance authorizes an increase of 4.1647 percent, which includes the 1.0 percent statutory increase to the general levy amount in 2027 for Snohomish County general property tax as authorized per RCW 84.55.0101, as well as 3.1647 percent banked capacity. The ordinance also authorizes an increase of 1.0% in 2028 which is the 1.0 percent statutory increase to the general levy amount for Snohomish County general property tax as authorized per RCW 84.55.0101.
