EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION: A. Boungjaktha 10/30/23

PURPOSE: To fill a vacant position within the Airport Commission.

BACKGROUND: .
* The Airport Commission was established by Ordinance 17-003 on March 29, 2017.
* The Airport Commission acts as an advisory board to the Executive.
* The Airport Commission is composed of thirteen (13) members consisting of one person from each council district, three persons from the airport tenant community, three persons from the business community, and two persons from the county at large.
* Mr. Kurtis Lewko, who had represented the airport tenants on the Airport Commission, has resigned from the Commission and Todd Haberlack has applied to replace him as a representative of airport tenants.
* Mr. Haberlack has been employed by the Boeing Company for over twenty years and is currently the Boeing Everett Site's Civic Affairs and Land Use Planning Manager. He is very familiar with the airport as he interfaces frequently with staff on various issues (real estate, fire, security, etc.). Mr. Haberlack is very interested in the future of the airport and has been actively involved in the airport master plan and capital improvement programs.
* It is recommended that Mr. Haberlack fill the vacant Airport Tenant Representative position for the balance of the term, which is set to expire January 31, 2026.
