EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION:  Approved by Ken Klein 9/4/24

 

PURPOSE: An ordinance authorizing an increase in the 2025 and 2026 general property tax levy.

 

BACKGROUND: This ordinance authorizes an increase of 4.0446 percent, which includes the 1.0 percent statutory increase to the general levy amount for Snohomish County general property tax as authorized per RCW 84.55.0101, as well as 3.0446 percent banked capacity.  The ordinance also authorizes an increase of 4.0% in 2026 which includes the 1.0 percent statutory increase to the general levy amount for Snohomish County general property tax as authorized per RCW 84.55.0101, as well as 3.0 percent banked capacity.
