EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION: Approved
PURPOSE: Executive approval and signature of Amendment D for time extension and change of scope to grant agreement 18-96616-196 with the Department of Commerce for Centennial Trail South.
BACKGROUND: On December 19, 2018, Snohomish County Council passed Motion 18-391 authorizing the County Executive to execute grant agreement 18-96616-196 with the Washington State Department of Commerce for design and engineering up to 60% completion for the Centennial Trail South project. The amount granted was Five Hundred Thousand dollars ($500,000) less the administrative fees of Fifteen Thousand dollars ($15,000) for a total amount of Four Hundred and Eighty Five Thousand dollars ($485,000). Three time extensions have extended the grant agreement to June 30, 2027. If approved, Amendment D would amend the scope of the grant agreement for the project to be 30% complete upon conclusion of the contract and, if funds are reappropriated, for the grant agreement to expire June 30, 2029. This amendment will allow for full use of the grant funds to complete 30% design. Amendment D will be sent through DocuSign once approved through Legistar.
