PURPOSE: To obtain Executive approval of Change Order 09 to Marpac Construction
BACKGROUND: The County and Marpac Construction entered into an agreement on December 18th, 2024, for the construction phase of the New Start Center of Everett. Additional necessary demolition has encountered asbestos containing materials at previously unknown locations. The contractor will provide the additional abatement work based on actual time and materials within the not to exceed amount indicated on the change order. The contractor will be providing and installing appliances shown on the drawings revisions after the bids were completed. The total for these two change orders has been negotiated down from $137,715.39.
