PURPOSE: To hire Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. for engineering project design and bidding services at Snohomish County Airport on Runway 16R-34L Rehabilitation project for Part A of the contract.
BACKGROUND: .
• Snohomish County Airport requires Airfield Engineering Consulting Services in order to accomplish the first phase of the airport’s Runway 16R-34L reconstruction project.
• Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (Jacobs) has been selected on the basis of their qualifications to do the work as identified in RFQ 24-003BC. Jacobs has been in business since 1947 and consults on engineering projects worldwide with over 24,000 employees in the Unites States and 60,000 worldwide.
• The work performed under this RFQ will be split into three professional services contracts with Jacobs. This first contract (Part A) consists of preliminary design services. The second (Part B) contract will be for final design and bidding services will be executed when design is complete, and the final (Part C) contract will be for construction engineering services. Future contracts will be submitted for separate approval.
• The Airport seeks authorization for the Executive to execute the Part A professional services contract with Jacobs, for preliminary design services.
• The contract is NTE $1,095,174 and terminates December 31, 2026 with no extensions included. However, at the option of the County an extension may be agreed upon in writing if needed.
