ITEM TITLE:
Title
Motion 22-371, approving an increase in the number of employees authorized in the 2022 Annual Budget in Fund 130 for the Office of Recovery and Resilience
body
DEPARTMENT: Executive
ORIGINATOR: Karen Anderson
EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION: Approved by Ken Klein 09/02/22
PURPOSE: The creation of a project position located in the Executive Office to support the transition of leadership between the departure of the current Snohomish Health District Administrator and a new department director. The project position will end 12/31/2022.
BACKGROUND: This project position in the Executive Office of Recovery and Resilience will support the transition of staff and integration of services with specific consideration to the current highly competitive market for skill sets in this field, the importance of minimizing disruption to service, and the commitment that Snohomish County has made to keep current staffing at the Health District whole. The County Council approved Motion 22-248 on June 8, 2022, to authorize notice of intent to withdraw from the Snohomish Health District on December 31, 2022, which will allow for the establishment of a new health department. Recognizing the benefits of collaboration, combined resources, strengthened abilities to address issues, improved access, increased opportunity and efficiency, the Council authorized the Motion.
