EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION: Approve
PURPOSE: Approval of this Right-of-Way (ROW) plan will allow for the ROW acquisition phase for the 84th St NE & 163rd Ave NE Intersection Improvements project
BACKGROUND: The 84th St NE / 163rd Ave NE Intersection Improvements project is listed as item D.67.01 in the 2021 Annual Construction Program The County proposes to construct a roundabout at this intersection to improve traffic flow and safety. The project is consistent with the 84th Street NE Safety study completed in December 2019. Property from eight (8) parcels is to be acquired for this project. The Right-of-Way acquisition process is scheduled to occur in 2021 and 2022. The project is located in Council District #1. Funding has been secured through a $1.8 million Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) grant. SEPA and NEPA have been completed for the project. Community outreach has occurred for the project environmental reviews.
