PURPOSE: To allow the Snohomish County Executive to enter into a reciprocal equipment and floor lease space with an outside partner to install the necessary equipment for a commercial kitchen and processing facility to be housed in a permanent location of the Food and Farming Center at McCollum Park 

 

BACKGROUND: Snohomish County acting through Snohomish County Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (“DCNR”) are in the process of acquiring the necessary equipment for a commercial kitchen and processing facility that will be eventually housed in the Food and Farming Center (“FFC”) yet to be built at McCollum Park. DCNR must acquire and install the equipment by the end of February 2027 to avoid the expiration of the grant to acquire and install said equipment. Box of Good, LLC, located at 8504 Cedarhome Drive, Stanwood, WA 98292is willing to lease the necessary space to DCNR to accommodate the equipment in exchange for having access to utilize the equipment while DCNR completes development of the final location of the FFC at which time the equipment will be moved to the permanent location for the FFC.
