EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION: Approved
PURPOSE: To obtain Executive approval of Change Order 11 to Marpac Construction.
BACKGROUND: The County and Marpac Construction entered into an agreement on December 18th, 2024, for the construction phase of the New Start Center of Everett. The existing tub and shower surrounds were installed edges and seems. The condition does not allow for proper waterproofing of the edges. The conditions likely lead to some of the water damage in the existing bathrooms areas. The change order corrects the condition by removing the existing surrounds and drywall. The new drywall will have seams that do not align with the new surrounds. The contractor will be salvaging the plumbing fixtures for reuse.
