ITEM TITLE:

Title

Amendment 2 to the Interlocal Agreement between the City of Everett and Snohomish County to provide Information Technology Services

body

DEPARTMENT:  Information Technology

ORIGINATOR:  Dee White

EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION:  Approved

PURPOSE: The purpose of this ECAF is to approve and execute Amendment 2 to the interlocal agreement (ILA) between Snohomish County and the City of Everett to continue to provide the city with Astound services.

BACKGROUND: In order to mutually benefit the County and City of Everett (Everett), both organizations have agreed to share space within the County’s data center for the purpose of cross connections to State, County, and other participating agencies and to share Orthoimagery through the County’s agreement with EagleView. This agreement allows for Everett to request services from the County via Supplemental Work Order (SWO). An Interlocal Agreement (ILA) between the County and Everett with a “not to exceed” amount of $100,000.00 was on December 11, 2020 and amended in 2024 to add Lidar data.   The County receives services from Astound that provide a critical segment of the direct path for Verizon Wireless services from the County’s main campus site to the Westin Building in Seattle.  This service is no longer needed by the County but may still be needed by other cities within the County.  Everett has requested continued access to this path as they still need this Verizon Wireless service for their first responders.   The cost increase to the Agreement to continue the service for Everett is $6,426.00 annually and the maximum “not to exceed” amount is being increased to $110,000.00.
