PURPOSE: To accept FAA’s ARPA Airport Rescue Grant Offer Part I, No. 3-53-0028-064-2021 for Snohomish County Airport.
BACKGROUND: .
Ø This Federal Aviation Administrations (FAA), Airport Rescue Grant (ARG) offer is being provided in accordance with the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) to provide Snohomish County Airport with funding for costs related to operations, personnel, cleaning, sanitization, janitorial services, combating the spread of pathogens at the airport, and debt service payments.
Ø Snohomish County Airport would like to accept the FAA ARPA ARG Offer, No. 3-53-0028-064-2021 for $5,081,849 which shall be used towards debt service payments or for any lawful purpose permitted under the ARG terms.
Ø This is Part I of II FAA grant offers Paine Field shall receive from the ARPA-ARG. The second Part II FAA grant offer for concession relief has not been received yet and is estimated at $333,921. The second concessions relief grant may be used to provide relief from rent and minimum annual guarantees (MAG) to on-airport car rental, on-airport parking, and in-terminal airport concessions. Paine Field will be using the funds for in-terminal airport concessions relief.
Ø Please note the Airport must execute the grant, followed by the attorney’s certification, no later than August 26, 2021 in order for the grant to be valid.
