DEPARTMENT:  CONSERVATION AND NATURAL RESOURCES

ORIGINATOR:  PEJ MORGAN

EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION:  Approved

PURPOSE: A formal letter with a Right of Entry Permit Attachment to request authorization for County’s consultant to access the properties listed above to conduct environmental surveys

BACKGROUND: Snohomish County Parks, the (“County”) in partnership with the City of Everett, is planning to develop the Snohomish River Trail, a new regional trail, eventually planned to connect the City of Everett to the City of Monroe. An east-west link between the City of Everett and the City of Snohomish is critical in Snohomish County’s regional trail network. This letter is to request permission for County to access the properties located in the City of Everett described as Assessor Parcel ID 28050500103100, 28050500102900, 28050500403500, 28050400300600, 28050500400100 as shown on Exhibit “A” of the Right of Entry Permit. The purpose of this access is to conduct a critical areas reconnaissance and wetland delineation survey.  The County is in the preliminary planning stage of Phase 1 and this task requires entry to your property. The proposed access will occur during the wet season and is expected to take 10 hours through the corridor.
