PURPOSE: Extend the existing agreement with Gordon Thomas Honeywell for federal government relations representation for one year and allowing for extension for the third year as per the original PSA conditions. The initial contract allows for two one-year extensions.
BACKGROUND: On December 14, 2022, Snohomish County Council approved Motion 22-545, authorizing the execution of a professional services agreement (PSA) with Gordon Thomas Honeywell (GHT) to serve as the Council’s government relations representative at the federal level. The initial PSA, RFP 22-053TB, was for a duration of January 1, 2023, through December 31, 2024, and provides the option to extend the agreement for up to two one-year terms. The motion before you today would authorize the execution of two extensions allowed under this PSA for the period of January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2026. The do-not-exceed amount of each one-year extension is $114,000, which is the same as the original contract term.
